PARK PATRONS

BECOME A “FRIEND” OF THE SAN DIMAS DOG PARK

Reasons to support your local dog park:

  • Socializes and exercises dogs in a safe environment.
  • Enables dogs to legally run off leash.
  • Promotes responsible pet ownership.
  • Provides elderly and disabled owners with an appropriate place to exercise their companions.
  • Provides a tool for realistic enforcement of dog control laws.
  • Allows self-policing by users.
  • Improves the community through the interaction of people.
  • It’s a great place to meet new friends.
  • Dogs love it.
  • It’s FUN!

Becoming a “Friend” does not require a financial commitment. Only your interest in supporting the dog park is required.

If you would like to volunteer for the “Friends of the San Dimas Dog Park” group, please contact: sandimasdogpark@yahoo.com

IMPORTANT MESSAGE
FOR SDDP PATRONS

Owners or attendants are legally required to pick up and dispose of their dog’s feces, both in and out of the dog park. This is the single most important thing dog owners can do to help insure the on-going success of our park. This is not the responsibility of the Dog Park Ambassadors (although they do pick up far more than their share). The Dog Park Ambassador program is a patron volunter program which does not require Ambassadors to pick up after any other dog except for their own. Your cooperation with the rules set by the San Dimas Park and Recreations is greatly appreciated.

IF THE PARK IS CLOSED, DO NOT JUMP THE FENCE!

If the gate is locked, it means the park is CLOSED and dog owners are not to use the facility.  Fence jumping is an inappropriate and unacceptable practice that will not go unnoticed.  The Sheriff's Dept. has been asked to issue citations to violators.
