Located in beautiful Horsethief Canyon Park

301 Horsethief Canyon Road, San Dimas, California 91773

With a beautiful view of greater San Dimas, the new dog park in Horsethief Canyon Park is now open from “dawn to dusk.”

A result of hard work and planning by the City Council, the Parks and Recreation Commission and staff, as well as valuable input from residents, the one-acre dog park includes two separately fenced areas designated for large and small dogs, as well as doggy water fountains. This unique grassy area allows our 4-legged friends to socialize and exercise in a safe environment while legally running free of restricting leashes. It also provides elderly and disabled owners with an appropriate place to exercise their companions.

Please note that the dog park is closed on Wednesdays from 1:00-3:00 p.m. for maintenance. Maintenance workers also spend a few minutes each morning emptying the trash receptacles within the dog park, and we ask that dog owners please leash their dogs as a courtesy during that brief period of time. The workers shouldn't have to wonder whether or not a dog is friendly.
