Please note that the San Dimas Dog Park will be closed for maintenance from January 4th through February 15th.

Exact re-opening date is dependent upon weather, condition of newly-planted grass and, ultimately, the decision of the Maintenance Manager with the City's Parks and Recreation Department. Until then, please check out our Links page to find other local dog parks during our downtime.

With a beautiful view of greater San Dimas, the dog park in Horsethief Canyon Park will be open from “dawn to dusk” once it reopens in February. A result of hard work and planning by the City Council, the Parks and Recreation Commission and staff, as well as valuable input from residents, the one-acre dog park includes two separately fenced areas designated for large and small dogs, as well as doggy water fountains. This unique grassy area allows our 4-legged friends to socialize and exercise in a safe environment while legally running free of restricting leashes. It also provides elderly and disabled owners with an appropriate place to exercise their companions.

A Warm Welcome
